Good Start

I would have to say snowmaking got off to a good start this morning.  There are more good photos on the "Mountain Snapshots" tab of our website. Temps were cold enough for a few hours.  We fired up 85% of the fan guns.  The first time is always a good chance to knock out the cobwebs.  We found a few minor bugs like burnt out light bulbs and leaking hoses.  There were no significant issues.  Conditions tonight look awesome. Temperatures may be down in the teens.  Even daytime temperatures Saturday and Sunday may be good enough for snowmaking.  Tonight we will turn on 100% of the fan guns.  Last night we started the engine, tonight we will be going fast.  This will be a good weekend.

I have a few comments on opening.  The rumor mill never ceases to amaze me.  I am so happy people are excited about skiing and riding, but no date has been set for opening.  We will open just as soon as we make enough snow and, hopefully, that is one day before Loveland opens.
