The Bald Spot

The Bald Spot is a unique zone in our Beavers Project. The terrain is very comparable to the Lower Alleys in terms of pitch, size and vertical drop. It is located about 500 feet W-NW of the bottom terminal of the proposed Beavers Lift. With an approximately 250 vertical foot drop, most of the terrain is located at an elevation below the bottom of The Beavers Lift. It will have its own designated access gate(s) and when finished skiing these great little steeps, one will have to hike up to either the bottom of The Beavers Lift or traverse East and hike to Pallavicini Lift.

Another really sweet nugget.

The best skiing in the Beavers and when you're done you have to hike out of it..what is the point of even building the lift? Seriously scratching my head.

We can never stop expanding. I know you have to keep up with the trend, but this amazing ski area is being ruined by progress. Now you are destroying the best out of bounds skiing and allowing those that won't respect it access by adding a lift. Very sad!

Sad that a handful of selfish locals still want their own private mountain.

Why not extend the lift so your guests don't have to hike up? BC is great, but I'm not sure I will want to bring my AT setup just so I can hike outta that. Leave the boot pack for the east wall. I know there's similar terrain below Zuma but ifs never open when it's good.

We need to rename that the Bald Spot has been coined above Beaver Creek for decades...We need to be more creative with our most excellent terrain...

I am on the opposite side. I would not put a lift. Hiking is a toll to keep less committed people out of the equation. With a growing Denver, fighting expansions is useless. It would be better to be smart about them.

Denver skiers have the same right as you to enjoy the basin. And they speak about you in the same way!

Yeah but why does the bald spot look so much like Louie?

I switched to Winter Park because of rude basin skiers making sharp cracks about Denver skiers. You still hear it occasionally at Winter Park but, um, the city of Denver owns the resort, LOL.
