EW Hiking Open Today

The Ski Patrol opened the North Pole and Willie's Wide staircases this afternoon.  About 30-40 people climbed each staircase.  I hiked the North Pole route twice.  Skiing was tremendous and chowdery. Check out the photo of patroller Tom Bruner heading up North Pole.  We still have a great looking forecast the next few days.  I doubt the hiking will be open tomorrow, but keep checking in.  This is a fine start to the East Wall hiking program.
