Progress with Black Mountain Express

We have had a beautiful summer so far. A few afternoon showers have really caused the flowers and other summer greenery to explode. Wednesday I saw 40 mountain goats living the good life on Little Lenawee Peak.

Lift construction is going well. The foundation for the top terminal is poured. 8 of 11 tower holes are dug. Rough grading for the bottom terminal is complete. The Leitner Poma crew is really marching forward. I expect by month end to be done with all the grading and concrete work. The next pieces, towers, terminals, haul rope, and chairs will go up quickly.

We were able re-use or recycle 99+ % of Exhibition Lift. One of the coolest applications will be the donation of 3 lift towers and other components for use in the Colorado Mountain College outdoor amphitheatre and classroom.

Nice! When is this expected to be finished? September? Also, may I ask how this project was financed? I'm really looking forward to next year's ski season.

Thanks for the comments Scott. The scheduled completion of the lift is late September to early October. Although I am afraid to say this, we are a little bit ahead of schedule right now. Knock on wood, the lift will be ready to go when the snowmakers and groomers are ready to open High Noon.

Regarding the financing, that question probably dips in the category I can't really comment on. Good question though.
