Daylight Savings and Extended Season

I don't think we will change our hours for Daylight Savings Time. There are obviously some advantages, but changing the hours really confuses people. We last changed our hours about 8-10 years ago and some people still get confused. I think consistancy is pretty important on this issue. Let's keep it clear and simple for everyone.

Extended season.......................HMMMMM. We just have to wait and see.

I'm not sure there is too much confusion if the lifts keep spinning another hour. That's confusion most of us could live with.

Also, at the rate the snow is melting an 'extended season' doesn't look to be in the cards this year.

Hey Al, thanks for all your blog updates this past season. I will be in Summit County beginning Mar. 25 for 9 days. Can't wait to see you guys and ride the basin!

I'll post it again (guessing it won't be approved), but keeping the lifts spinning an extra hour won't confuse anybody....people keep skiing when there is skiing to be done.

Love the blog and the great photos. Hoping you stay open through June this year. My best memories of A-Basin are from skiing in late June and early July. Plus, I have friends coming all the way up from Panama on June 7 and I wanted them to experience The Legend late, late season...

Yesterday's Denver Post (in a listing of ski area closing dates) listed A-Basin as closing June 5 (of course, the whole list said "subject to change"). Is that just somebody filling in a date based on expectation, or has A-Basin announced anything?
