Taos and Kachina Peak

This past weekend Kay and I went to Taos. We stayed with and caught up with old friends. The skiing was very fun.  Saturday, we enjoyed many, many runs riding the new Kachina Peak chair. Sunday it snowed all day long and we found lots of fluff in Wild West Glade, Ernie's Run and a few other places. Late that day we found untouched steep stuff after making the West Basin hike. What would a trip to Taos be without a great sunset and blue corn enchiladas in town. Perfection.

They reported 22" of snow after we left. Don't forget that A-Basin pass is good for 3 days at Taos.

Al, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Taos and the Basin sit side by side as two of the coolest places on earth. When they get that much snow they are then out of this world. POW.

Every time I comment here about the horrible experiences I went through at Taos, it is never published. I'm curious as to why that is.....

Just another excuse to have a Basin pass - as if you need another one! I spent the New Year holiday at Ski Santa Fe. They also have a ton of snow and if you were to ask me what other ski mountain on the planet has a vibe like Arapahoe Basin, it would be Ski Santa Fe. It has the best mountain bar, mellow vibe, fantastic glades and when they get snow, it is like BUTTER!

Hi Bryan, I did receive your comments and I think you should send them directly to Taos. Al
