Sometimes there is nothing better than a bluebird day following a powder day at The Basin. Yesterday morning, about 9:30, I unloaded Pali and slid to the West Wall Saddle. My jaw pretty much dropped. With the bright sun just poking over the East Wall, the deep blue skies and the new snow, the place was nothing short of stunning. I simply stopped and stared for a long, long time. We are lucky.
