More good snow. The storm did pretty much what was forecasted, 2" and some good wind. Another good step forward. Upper Wrangler is open. The next stuff will be in the West Wall, Slalom Slope, Cornice Run, Powderkeg zone. Maybe Lenawee Parks too. It needs a little bit more snow, not a lot. I have been getting a lot of "when" type questions. They are hard to answer. The next snow in the forecast is Monday or so. We will keep plugging away. One thing I can say is the terrain we have open is in really great shape. The groomed terrain today was outstanding. Please come up and enjoy it. We are getting there, 2" at a time.The Ski Patrol was busy doing avalanche work on the North Side and in Zuma Bowl. We had a pretty big slide in Max back in Zuma. The key word is compaction.

At one point I had a bumper sticker that said, "Stop the brutal grooming." In a perfect world, I'd still like to see groomers and snowmaking guns all rust in peace. But in a thin snow year like this, I shudder to think where we would be without them. The skiing at the basin this year, though limited in terrain, has really been quite good. I appreciate the great work your snowmaking and grooming crews are doing!
