Uphill Access Update

Over 300 people have obtained Uphill Access Passes this season.  Thanks to all of you that have participated in the program.  Obviously this is a quickly growing part of the ski experience at A-Basin.  Almost every uphill user that I have communicated with has provided great insight and support for our efforts to manage the program in a productive and fun way.

We have some good news on uphill access during operational hours.  Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, the terrain park will be moved to its normal Treeline location on the Upper Mountain.  The new park location will open Saturday.  This allows us to open uphill access during operational hours.  This program is new this season.  Remember, uphill users during operational hours must stay on the East side of High Noon and are not allowed above Black Mountain Lodge.

Again, thanks to everyone who participated in our planning sessions and thanks to everyone who worked collaboratively to make uphill access a success at The Basin.

Which terrain park? Treeline or High divide?

Good question. To the Treeline Park location. I am going to edit the post to clarify.

Are there any limitations for uphill/downhill skiers who wish to carry children in backpacks? I'd like to get my 1-year-old out on the slopes (even if he can't ski yet).

I think I just saw 4 people skiing on Zuma. Next refresh on the web cam they were gone. Hoping that's the patrol checking things out and that Zuma will be open by Jan 24. Hint hint.
