Solar Power

The new Kids Center will have a solar energy system on its South facing roof. The facility is rated at 13 kilowatts and will produce 15 megawatt hours of energy per year. While this is a new building, we will be removing two very old, leaky, baseboard heated building. The new building is much larger than the buildings removed, but with energy efficient construction and solar power, we anticipate the shrinking of our carbon footprint. I am excited to bring this system on line.
