A Happy Ski Owner

Congratulations Stacey! Awesome! What a cool community...

But I'm curious how the ski could have made it to the bottom of Beaver Bowl? Is the slope steep enough off the side of Cornice Run that the brakes wouldn't stop it? Maybe an avalanche? Or did her "friend" have a really long singleton ski ride out? :)

Its pretty simple if the ski was buried most of the winter under new snowfalls then it would reappear after Snowmelt carried it downhill.

Plus it was a tech (backcountry skinning) binding. So no breaks... just leashes! Meaning it went for a nice long [solo] rode down the roped off section of the mountain! Haha :)

Best friend and roommate from college! Still good friends to date ;) This is just the ski story that keeps on giving! Lol And yup! She had to mono ski back down the mountain. But she is from Sweden so she grew up skiing in the Alps so she killed the mono ski game like a champ!
