Winter In May

Winter in May. The last couple of days, the powder seekers were rewarded. Conditions had really shifted to Spring. At A-Basin, however, Winter tends to return. We had some fine powder skiing, particularly out in The Beavers and on the East Wall. Today the sun will be back out and the temperatures will rise. Spring conditions will return. I am not sure everything will be open, but what we will have will be very nice. Thanks to everyone that made this storm so much fun. And here's to some extraordinary A-Basin Spring skiing.

Looks great! Is A-basin still open 7 days a week during the late season? Would love to come up this Friday, but don't want ya to be closed. Thanks!

Howdy Al,

I was at the Basin this past weekend, I wrote this:

I grew up in Denver, I used to ride the ski bus to the Basin in the early 70's. Now I live in Eagle, I ski at Beaver Creek and Aspen Highlands.

I can't say enough, how wonderful the Basin is. Usually I don't come over till after the Beav closes. No more. I'm going to start coming over mid Winter as well.

A-Basin and you sir, are everything that's right in the ski business. Thank you for that.
