A Bit More Snow

Curious about why you blow snow when you know it will be melting. To help reflect sunlight and keep ground cooler?

They blow it whenever they get the opportunity just because you can never truly know what the weather will do in the mountains. They did it early since it was cold enough and after all it all melts down to the snowmaking pond again. Plus it gives a chance to test all the snowmaking gear... and of course there's still some leftover to give a little jumpstart to snowmaking when they start again today or tomorrow.
