Our Guest Services remodel is going well. As we progress, I will post more pictures. The objectives here are to improve the areas for season pass and ticket sales, information and general guest services. The bonus is that we are covering the ticket office deck, creating a nice place for people to get out of the weather and a really great place for a band to play their tunes.

Good To Be Home
As much as I love going on vacation, it is always great to come home. This whole Summit County / A-Basin thing is pretty good.

Dark and Stormy
No I am not talking about the drink. We have had a couple of pretty wet days. The place is green!!! Sometimes the rain is a pain in the neck, but it just makes the place glow when the sun pops out. We are going to have a tremendous flower show the next few weeks. Make sure you stop by for a hike or a ride or a bite.
Don't forget to make those camping reservations for the bike race.

Bike Race - Camping and Music Info
We posted more info on the website about camping and music. The camping details and the reservation process can be easily found online at our website. The camping registration will be for both nights, Monday and Tuesday. There is a wide variety of choices from "The Beach Sites" to tent camping in Last Chance with plenty of choices in between.
I am very psyched for the music. Monday night Brother's Keeper Featuring John Popper (yes, John Popper from Blues Traveler) and The Samples will be putting on quite a show. Tuesday night The Freddy Jones Band and another act TBD will be the Grand Finale for this rocking two-day Arapahoe Basin Festival.
Over coffee yesterday, before work, I watched an hour of the Tour de France. The riders cruised through enthusiastic crowds as they traversed Belgium. For me, I couldn't stop thinking about how dramatic and charged the crowd will be at The Basin finish. This is going to be good.

Beer Maker's Dinner
I just saw the menu for the July 10 Beer Maker's Dinner in The 6th Alley Bar and Grill. WOW. Chef Rybak will be pairing each of the following five courses with a select beverage from the Left hand Brewing Company:
Charcuterie and Cheese Board with Sawtooth Ale
Bacon Wrapped Chicken Roulade with Polestar Pilsner
Salad and Salmon Ceviche with JuJu Ginger Pale Ale
Smokey Pork Shank with 400 Pound Monkey English Style IPA
Dark Chocolate Torte and Hazelnut Ice Cream with Milk Stout
This could be kind of fun. Check out the website for more details and reservations.

Argentine North Fork Trail
The signs are up and The Argentine North Fork Trail is ready to go. I have been up and down it a few times on foot the last week. Despite a little bit of mud, the trail is in very good shape. I have seen a number of people riding to the Summit and down the Lenawee Trail on the backside. I have not yet heard reports about conditions down to Peru Creek Road. Consider a cruise up the trail this weekend to avoid the crowds elsewhere.
