It has been a very tough couple of days since we lost Leif. He was in Aspen hiking Highlands Bowl with his son, Ian, when he suffered a heart attack, collapsed, and died almost immediately. His departure has left a giant hole impacting thousands of people.
A group of family, friends, and co-workers is in the process of organizing a "Celeberation of Leif's Life." Look for an announcement tomorrow about date, time, and place. It will likely occur late next week.
Leif was truly a larger than life figure. We considered closing for the day yesterday, but everyone knew that Leif would want us to be open. So, we opened. This weekend is looking to be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 20's. Just the kind of day that Leif would love. He and I spent many a Pali lift ride on days just like that. I hope you can come up and enjoy a turn or two for our dear friend, Leif Eric Borgeson.
