May 22. Another journal entry. The world did not end. 13" New. 7-8" during the day yesterday. 5-6" overnight. 105" Base. Snowpack at 294%. YTD snowfall 458". Snow plows are busy. Big winter keeps getting bigger. Must test product this morning.

Will there ever be another a-basin expansion or is Arapahoe Basin "maxed" out? Is there anywhere in particular you might expand too?

This would be a tough summer to build a lift.
Back in the mid-90s, APG (the upper right side of Cornice Run) went 4 years without melting. Sometimes a patch of snow lasts through the summer in Humbug and/or the North Pole region.

Sorry for the slow response to your question. I am not sure if or when the next expansion at A-Basin will be. We are not maxed out. The Beavers is an approximately 500 acre area to the west of us. Currently, it is within our special use permit boundary and has a land use classification for ski area development. That classification is kind of analagous to zoning. It is eligible to be considered for ski area development. We are not authorized to be operating out there at this time. We have not started the process for approval to develop the area. Might we start that process someday? Maybe.
