Sundance Saturday (maybe sooner)

Sundance looks great. The snowmakers have made a lot of snow there. I just skied the trail. Very impressive. Mother nature has been helpful with a nice little base of natural snow. Our snowmaking system on Sundance is a little more dispersed than other places. That means we make snow more in piles and the snowcats have to push it more than other places. That said, on Sundance I think we have to do a little bit more snowmaking and "A LOT" more snowcat work. Tonight we will have two snowcat drivers working the piles. Tomorrow will tell us a lot about which day we can get it open.

Hey al. I would love some more information about your snowcats / groomers at a-basin? maybe do a blog on it sometime? Just curious how many snowcats A-basin has that can be used to groom.

Good to hear Sundance is close. I almost never ski green runs, but if were going to ski a green, Sundance would probably be my first pick. We've had a few good storms already this fall. How's the natural snow base looking and how many more good storms before we might see some terrain like Lenawee Parks, Humbug, etc open on natural snow?

Al,
Good to hear the progress on Sundance. I rarely ski greens, but if i were to ever pick one, Sundance would be my first choice! We've had a few good storms this fall. How's the base looking up there and how many more good storms do you think it might take before we start seeing some terrain like Lenawee Parks and Humbug open on natural snow?
