Thank You

We have definitely had easier seasons. Thanks again to all of you for being part of the gang. Two things make A-Basin special, the mountain and the people. I appreciate the unique and special culture that our guests and our employees have created at such an extraordinary mountain. We are going to spend the next week or two putting stuff away. Over the summer we will be doing some maintenance and maybe a few projects. Before you know it, we will be setting up the snowmaking equipment and making it happen again. Thanks for your support and friendship. Enjoy the summer. Al

Thanks for making A-Basin the most fun mountain in Colorado!
Even with the worst of conditions, a day at A-Basin is better than a day at work, at school, at home, or just about anywhere else.

Here's to a great 2012-2013 season!

Al, thanks for making A-Basin what it is. It has become my favorite ski area for a number of reasons. I recently read that some ski areas are opening up parts of their terrain for summer mountain biking. Anything like that planned at the Basin? Thanks, and see you next season. I already have my pass locked in.

Al - we all can't thank you enough. Being from the east coast, ready your blog daily keeps me thinking of CO. I consider myself one of the lucky ones, I got to ski A-Basin this year. I never take that for granted.

Thanks so much to you and your staff for doing all you could this season. It was rough on all of us, but I'm certain the toughest on you all for having to work so hard to keep the mountain open as long as you did. I always appreciate the fun atmosphere you all create...sun, rain, wind, and snow.

Even with the shortage of snow this year, you can't beat a blue sky day at the Basin. My happy place!! Thanks for doing your best to stay open as long as you did. We will be counting down the days to next season. Thanks!!

Will uphill access be open?

Hi Alan. I'll add my thanks for another great season. The Basin is a rare gem and we feel very lucky to be able to ski there all season. (I finished out my Basin season yesterday on closing day.)
One factual question. What was the closing date in 2002? I know I got my last Basin day that year on the first weekend in May but I don't recall whether that was because Palli closed that weekend or the entire mountain closed then.
Thanks!

Hi Alan,

Again a great season! There was nothing to complain about this season, really; there was Snow and we had a number of powder days. I know next year will better, see you then!

PS. Update the blog throughout the Summer if you're there. We really like the pictures and your comments.
