Call It A Foot

We reported 5" this morning and 10" so far for the storm.  It has been snowing steadily since the 5 AM report.  Let's just call it a foot so far.  A few tours down Sundance this morning indicate that trail is very close to being open.  A little bit more snowcat work and snowmaking on the lower right side and it will be good to go. Just a beautiful, beautiful day.

Just got done looking at last years blog when you guys were around this stage of opening terrain.. Wow what a difference! It was November 30th I believe when you guys were going to open upper Sundance. Here we are November 1st already talking about opening the whole trail. Remarkable!

Slightly more promising than last year's start.

I saw on Open Snow today that a lot of resorts are adding "pow cams" that show the snowfall in a time lapse video of their snow stake. Does A Basin have any plans to do this?

Will the basin ever get epicmix and you should add a snow stake cam

How long does the resort usually make snow? When do you think snowmaking won't be necessary anymore?

Here's hoping the Basin NEVER gets EpicBrag. Everybody that doesn't love crowds should want that.

I think EpicBrag is super successful at what it does...and what it does is keep people at the Vail resorts
