The Latest With Snowmaking

Today was a nice surprise. The forecast was for sunny skies, but we had steady, light snowfall past noon.

We continue to have great snowmaking sessions. We have shut down a couple of times to manage logistics, but snowmaking continues to be way ahead of schedule. Looking forward, Molly Hogan will open Saturday. Just above mid-mountain, we will also be opening the Highline and Tower 3 Pitch (the line that comes in West of the top of BMX). Our first go round with snowmaking on Lower Wrangler is off to a good start and, with a little luck, that will open late next week.

The forecast for the weekend is shaping up nicely with temperatures about 40 F Saturday and Sunday and bluebird skies. More perfect days for skiing, riding, and the BML deck.

skied today, was really surprised and psyched at how great the conditions were. It was full blown winter all day up there!

Where on the mountain is BMX and the other runs you are talking about opening? I know where Molly Hogan is, but not seeing any of the others on your trail map. I look forward to them opening and putting in a LOT more days on your mountain this year than I have in the past!

BMX is Black Mountain Express, the chairlift. Just above timberline, Dercum's Gulch splits and a fairly wide lane comes down to the West side of the top of BMX. Hope that helps.
