Icelantic Arapahoe Basin Skis

Another "must have" item in Arapahoe Sports. Check out these Icelantic Nomads with an Arapahoe Basin top sheet. They are kind of cool. I would enjoy sliding around The Basin on these babies.

So, 8:40 this morning both Keystone and Loveland have their snow guns running (per web cams). You guys don't appear to be blowing Ramrod this morning. Bummer.

RaflW... definitely disappointed! I check the webcams every morning and it's been too warm lately to blow snow... this morning had potential, so I wasn't happy to see them wasting the opportunity away. Now, as usual, there will be an answer as to why they didn't blow snow.... ie stream flow, wet blub... but end of the day THEY COULD HAVE blown snow last night. Bummer indeed.

Worked as a snowmaker at a small mid-west resort during college, I have to say, the key to opening terrain is BLOWING SNOW. My job was to make snow, and our job as snowmakers was to open terrain. That was my agenda at least... Heck there were even weeks at a time pre-season where the temps would be 35+ degrees and we'd be blowing snow. Oh well.

Geez anonymous....I guess everyone is an expert and a critic! Glad you have the deep ,deep knowledge of working a small mid-west (not really skiing) mountain back in college...just enough experience to make you an over critical jerk.....
A-Basin crews do an am amazing job with making snow....know when and how much snow to blow....being the first to open the season....grooming.... and maintaining a great mountain! Enjoy it as it is and as it comes but don't criticize! THANK YOU A-BAY CREWS FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK SO WE CAN COME PLAY! YOU ROCK!
