Ramrod And A C-Bow

Lots of good news today. Ramrod is open. The snow is excellent. The trail width is not quite side to side, but there is a bunch more good skiing. The Park Crew switched out one of the rails. We have a fun C-Bow now. That is a C Rail on a slant going uphill like a Rainbow Rail. C-Bow.

The Upper Mountain snowmaking is going well. We have several big whales in Lower Dercum's Gulch. Several more fan guns are being moved to Lenawee Face and Upper Dercum's Gulch. The snowmaking weather has become more favorable. The overnight lows are consistently colder and some meteorologists are thinking the second half of November could be stormy. The snowier and the colder, the better.

Any estimate yet on when you'll be allowing uphill access?

Correction: First run of the year down ramrod.

Ram Rod? Isn't that what you call a intermediate female skier from Denver who skis above their ability and screams out "yield to the fall line" as they crash into you from above? Oh A-basin... We'll never forget the memories that keep us from returning year after year after year.

As an intermediate female skier I can definitely say I have never screamed out "yield to the fall line". If I'm skiing above my ability and crashing into someone below a wordless yowl is the best I can manage!

Tbh that doesn't seem like a good reason to avoid a-basin, unless you're used to up north where you can have the mountain to yourself. Pretty much all of the alternatives around are much more crowded.

Now if you like other terrain and amenities more, that can make sense
