2015 World Championship Downhill

What an experience. Kay and I were at Beaver Creek for the Men's World Championship Downhill Race today. We were close to the bottom of the course and could see the skiers fly over the last jump and straight-line through the finish at 85 mph. Look closely in the upper left corner of the top two images. It was breath taking and awe inspiring The American team skied well with Travis Ganong getting the Silver Medal and Steve Nyman just missing the podium with a fourth place finish. Thousands of people took it in. There is still another week of racing to go. If you can, try and catch one of the events.
