I took my first ski in Montezuma Bowl this morning. The cat drivers, ski patrollers and lift guys, however, have been hard at work back there for a while. We don't have snowmaking in Montezuma Bowl, we do a lot of snow farming. We have many, many, many snowfences. Some are permanently installed and some are portable by hand or by snowcat. The crew has been working diligently packing snow in the main corridors. The cats have made it about halfway down the main Columbine / Shining Light route. The progress for December 4 is quite good. With unsettled weather in the forecast, we hope to make additional significant strides over the next couple of weeks.
