Viking Horns

I guess I knew that closing day would be fun when, by 8:30 this morning, I had seen three different guys wearing viking horns. We had a beautiful morning with a widely held spirit of celebration. The day started out beautifully. Clouds rolled in and by about 1:30 it was snowing on the summit and raining (actually pouring) in the base area. Soon after thunder and lightning closed the lifts. A short time later, the clouds blew out. We re-opened the lifts and finished the season with some fun (wet for the people that crashed in the lake) turns under blue skis.. Time for a 6th Alley celebration. A great finish to an even better season

No ! Looks like plenty of snow to me, turn the lifts back on, turn the lifts back on !

J/K. best thing about closing day after 1st day of summer is every day the earth is now moving father away from the rotation causing summertime in the usa and closer to wintertime.

Hi Al,

Do you know who the photographer was on Saturday shooting by the lake? We had so much fun, it'd be great to see some pictures!

I was one of the photographers (not professional--just a hobby). I probably won't have a chance to post the photos until the weekend since I have a real day job to take care of. It was a lot of fun watching everyone pond skim!
