Face of A-Basin Snowmaking

The face of Arapahoe Basin snowmaking is Bill LeClair. His career in this very specialized craft began in 1984 at Mt. Sunapee, New Hampshire. After spending decades as a fixture in Keystone snowmaking, this is his 3rd year as the A-Basin Snowmaking Manager. There are few people in Colorado with his encyclopedia of knowledge in snowmaking. We are lucky to have him.

That looks to be a seriously badass piece of equipment. That's awesome we have one of the best in the business to run it. Clearly, the updates and time of the year have me excited. I find myself heading over here to check things out as soon as I can get a full cup of coffee down :)

Makes sense 'the legend' has the biggest legend in snow making.

Snowmaking was favorite job. Too bad it paid only $6 an hour for 3 months when I did it in the Midwest. It paid so little that sometimes I even helped out for FREE not punching in at times. Too bad it's super specialized, seasonal and non livable pay. Unless you are Bill. :)
