We Are Well On The Way

The snowmaking has just been incredible. We couldn't really ask for better. Last night was pretty good. Before long we will get a snowcat on the hill. The first snowcat trips will get a travel route established. Once that is done and we make a little more snow, the snowcat drivers will start pushing and spreading the snow around. They will be literally carving those whales into the ski trail we call High Noon. Once you see the cat dozing, we are getting close.

With such a large window of incredible snowmaking temps from Wednesday pm straight through Friday pm I got to think Saturday the hill would be ready. Friday could be possible but also a good day to do all the cat work and mark everything off. My bet is Saturday

My guess is that opening day will be Friday 10/18 or Saturday 10/19.

Why does anyone get excited to ski one run down half a mountain? Look forward to seeing you in Feb when the mountain is fully open. Keep the snow building!

Because it's skiing!! I recommend you stay home until the conditions are just right.
