Could you please create another "Candid Talk" post about reopening. I think that gave us all a ton of clarity and we like to hear the chances of WHEN/IF you guys will be opening. I know you probably get these questions religiously at this point but it is nice to have some sort of hope to cling on to. I believe the governors order to stay closed expires tomorrow (if it is not extended), have you heard anything from the county whether they will allow A-Basin to open in some manner?

Local update on timing of a decision:

https://www.summitdaily.com/news/breckenridge-will-not-reopen-for-spring-skiing-a-basin-makes-plans-to-reopen-with-state-permission/

Polis stated the decision would be on they local community and Summit Managers "expressed interest", so we will see how this shakes out this week.

Fingers crossed.

Isn't the Governor's order closing ski resorts ending tomorrow? Would love to hear what's going on behind the scenes to get things worked out to reopen!

On "Candid Talk" comment I agree on a new post regarding re-opening. From past postings and information that was on the website it appears that the restriction is lies heavily on the decision of governor Polis statements on ski areas re-opening. Other ski areas have flat out said they are not re-opening. On the other hand, A-basin has said they will try to re-open if they are allowed to. So logically this means if the governor allows Colorado ski areas to re-open, then A-basin will re-open.

Summit County has already made the decision not to allow reopening of Abasin to stop those from Denver showing up.

Summit County order is until June so if the state order is not extended and the county order is not extended everything would be good to go June 1st. Sounds like the county is now good to go and anticipating the state being ok also. Allegedly the draft amendment is being crafted now with a target date of the 27th. Doesn't mean they will open on the 27th Just means they would be able to.

i was there yesterday and workers were putting out the picnic tables which previously were stacked against the wall, to me that says governor has given abasin some positive indication tho having said that the snowcat still has some work to do

Can't believe Molly Hogan lift is gone. Any news Alan on what will replace it for the beginners and the children? It is currently snowing really hard here in Keystone and the Basin will be opening Wednesday. It is Sunday. Looks like there might be some fun skiing on Wednesday, so make your reservation now. I'm a long time local. Just going to post as Anonymous. Might get on Instagram. Best to all.
