It is that time of year when I see mountain goats almost every time I ride Lenawee Mountain Lift. These photos were taken Saturday afternoon from the top of Humbug Ski Trail. The goats were laying around on the shoulder of Little Lenawee Peak. They are the official icon of Arapahoe Basin. Big, hearty, rugged, beatiful, and enjoyed by everyone. Amazing animals.

Goats! We missed them that Saturday, but we did look up and scanned the ridge. They must have been gone by then... We saw them there last year, and then another herd (?) on Buffalo. From up close! Beautiful wherever they are!

Just curious - where do these guys go during the winter months? Beautiful!!!
Every once in a while they wander into the ski area during the winter. Mostly, I think they hang out on South facing slopes in Peru Creek and Chihuaua Gulch.
