Yo Dawg! Not sure if you know or not, but I'm writing for the new Vail Valley paper now called the Sneak Peak Vail, I may be coming over tomorrow to do a story on the opening, and ski of course. Al, if you are around I'd like to talk for maybe 5-10 minutes.
We are opening tomorrow, Thursday, October 13 at 9 AM. Black Mountain Express, High Noon, and the Banana Terrain Park will be open. See you there.

Is there a risk in opening too early and the limited snow being beaten up and setting back a full opening?

The Epic Local Pass should be good, but check with Vail on any questions about their passes.
