Powder Day and Beacon Bowl

Just another great powder day. 7" new this morning and 12" for the storm. It snowed all day and is still snowing. We should all expect a very good day Sunday. The Beacon Bowl was exceptional. A-Basin Patroller Dom Vellone won the Pro Division for beacon search. Tony C ran a great live auction. Rio, the avalanche dog, stole the show, as usual. I think we raised a big pile of cash for the CAIC. A great day and another one in store for tomorrow.

Have to ask and I HOPE an answer comes....

There is an s-ton of snow. Still, not jumps in the park. What is up? Is this a conscious decision by A-Basin to eliminate this "risk"?

Why would you wanna do jumps when there is a s-ton of powder...go hit a cliff, they are there for a reason..

Yesterday was EPIC, aside from the low visibility. The temp was amazingly comfortable at the top and the wind was nonexistent in the AM. Picked up a little in the PM but I was done by 12:30pm and was sitting in the 6th Alley Bar enjoying a bacon Bloody Mary.

Yeah the cliffs are fun. No need for jumps really
