The Old Snow Plume Refuge

Here is a little nostalgia. This is a 1985 photo of the old Ski Patrol Headquarters and Snow Plume Refuge. It was a cool old building, especially if you didn't mind cold, drafty places with plenty of critters. Prior to 1978, the building was actually the lift operator station for the Drummond Lift, Norway's predecessor. The new Snow Plume Refuge was built during the summer and fall of 2004.

Alan, I really enjoy historic photos of the Basin. The section on your website showing photos from the early days is great fun.

I first skied Arapahoe in 1985. Yikes! It doesn't seem like it could be 30 years!

I would enjoy any old photos you wish to include on your blog from time to time.

I'll be out in March. See you then!
