It Was A Good Storm

While this storm wasn't quite as big as we'd all hoped, it was still a very good storm. We reported 6" of new snow this morning and it has been snowing lightly all day. The snowmakers had a good night and have a good plan for the week. I took some early runs which were quite nice. It looks like the Molly Hogan teaching arena will open Saturday. Sundance, one of America's greatest ski trails, is also on the verge of opening.

Sundance is one of America's greatest ski trails? :-)

Still, happy to see it open as the kids definitely agree with above.

Oh. I wear my old arse out on AB black and 2 x black runs....and I love to cruise back to my car on SUNDANCE. A great run!

Sundance is nice because it is longer than ramrod / high noon, but still with a decent enough pitch to be fun. Not one of America's greatest trails though =)

Well, I think it is one of America's best trails :)

Any indication as to when Wrangler might be opening? Thanks.

Sundance is really neat! That being said I would prefer a buffed Pali face on one of those classic abasin days.. I realize Joel really let us down on this last storm by only getting us 6 inches, but hows the natural terrain looking -lower lenawee/east gully/west wall?!

Really???? How exactly did Joel "let us down?" You do realize he mentioned the possibility of a more southern track, right? Also, weather is "weather", It's far from black and white, especially in mountainous terrain....

My comment was supposed to be funny because Joel doesn't actually get us snow.. Or maybe he does if we all just believe.. anyway I'm a huge fan of his site and however he does it he really pulled through for us today getting us all of this extra snow!
