Upper East Wall

Life is pretty good when you have two feet of new snow and the Upper East Wall is open.

The BEST run I've had in Willy's.....EVER. Thanks for the hard work to get it open, while I was there. Video coming.

I'm sorry if this a dumb question, but does A-Basin offer any sort of introduction to the hike-to terrain on East Wall? I've been riding for over ten years and consider myself advanced skill-wise, but have never really explored up there. I know some resorts offer guided tours around the slopes, and wasn't sure if that wasn't something y'all did too.

Thanks!
Nate

Not sure, but every time I have done it there have been enough other people doing the hike with me that it's easy to ask questions and get advice. I've also seen ski patrol at the summit a number of times and they are always very helpful.

Are you comfortable with Turbo, Rock Garden, Face, palli in general? Before putting the effort of going up Willie's Wide make sure. The Wall is pretty well roped and signed. The rest is up to your lungs, legs, and skill

Gregg: Thanks for the reminder, appreciate it.

Anon: Yes! Skill-wise, I feel comfortable with what I'm getting myself into. Just have zero experience with the hike-to terrain up there and wouldn't want to choose a sketchy line, ya know?
