Booger

OK, this has to be the worst place name at A-Basin. Sorry about the name, but Booger is an outstanding ski run. It is the chute between Shorkelnose and Corner Chute. Saturday, the skiing in there was extraordinary. There were a few rocks to negotiate at the top, but once in the chute, it was loose powder with good cover. It takes me about 30 minutes to hike to the top of the Willy's Staircase, unless I am with my wife. Then it takes about 20 minutes. From the top of the staircase head north, drop into the top of Snorkelnose. Instead of skiing, keep traversing North to the next chute, Booger. Ski it up and you will love it. Again, sorry about the name.

Not nearly as bad as when one of the terrain parks was named "Mother Hucker."

Hahahaha. Mother Hucker was the best.

Booger certainly is not an official name. Somewhere along the way, people just started calling it that.

What's the average pitch of Snorkel, Booger, Corner, etc?

When I was a boy with my friends we would always ski the east wall chutes. During one of my runs I fell and exploded with skis attached, ( before ski brakes), hat goggles and poles following behind me. While in the lodge the ski school head instructor asked where we had been skiing? I explained the chutes location and told him I fell so hard knocked the boogers out of me. Evidently the name stuck.
