Viewing Tour of The Beavers
Peggy, Tim, Patrick and I took a group out for a viewing tour of the Beavers. We rode BMX and Lenawee to the Summit. We walked the Cornice Run to the top of Pali, stopping occasionally to chat and point out elements for our Beavers proposal. We descended through the tundra to the top of the Steep Gullies for a grand view. The tour was finished off by walking down Grizzly Ridge to mid-mountain and riding BMX to the base area. We had an absolutely beautiful fall day. It might have been the last day of "early fall." The rest of the fall might be kind of white.

Aspens Are Peaking
I took this photo driving home from work yesterday. It is the hillside across the valley from Keystone. I think the aspen leaves in Summit County are at just about their peak for fall colors. The forecast for the next several days keeps improving as it relates to snowfall and snowmaking. In 24-48 hours The Basin will be wearing a much different dress.

Next Snowmaking Window
Looks like we have some weather moving our way. There appears to be some cold temperatures and precipitation in the forecast starting Thursday night and going into the weekend. If the temperature forecast holds true, we will have a pretty good snowmaking session. Stay tuned.
