Yesterday the skiing was simply incredible. I was out for a couple of hours mid-day. The Spine, Slalom Slope, Lenawee Parks, all of it just beautiful. As the pictures show, it is snowing heavily right now. The forecast is continued heavy snow into Friday night with winds shifting to the Northwest, ideal for Montezuma Bowl.
Next on the list for opening is West Zuma Bowl. Although I don't know exactly when it is going to open, we are very close to seeing Black Bear, Long Chute, MGD (Max, Groswold, Durrance), Miner's Glade, Eureka, and Lower Larkspur open for the season. The ski patrol and cat drivers have been going hog wild in those areas. If all goes well, that should be open before the weekend.
Once we open that terrain you can start asking, "When is the East Wall going to open?" Not before.
