Most of Arapahoe Basin is on public land in the White River National Forest. The ski area has a long term special use permit to operate on Forest Service land. We work closely with Forest Service staff and the public to provide high quality winter recreation at The Basin. We spend a lot of time working on issues like environmental impacts, public safety, and providing an atmosphere consistent with Forest Service policy. I think it is a pretty good system providing the public exceptional alpine experiences while protecting and preserving public natural resources.
