I guess it is time for the big question, "When will the East Wall open?" The short answer is, "I don't know." The long answer is that we are in a pretty good place. We have had some good snow that favored The Wall. We have had some rough wind that beat it up a bit. The Ski Patrol has been doing hand routes on the North and South ends and shooting the avalauncher in the middle portions. We have had a number of very small slides and no big ones. The majority of the snow needed to open The Wall is place. With the right combination of wind and snow, we aren't too far away. This week - no, but we are starting to zero in on the opening. No one likes this comment, but "Stay tuned, we aren't too far away."
