Consolidating Snow

I was out of town for the last week and fell a little behind on the blog. Sorry.

Spring has totally sprung. Yesterday, driving to work I saw the bighorn sheep. About mid-day I was standing in the Early Riser Lot and I saw a moose on the hillside just north of the highway. The animals are moving about.

The skiing yesterday was really fun. It was soft, slushy snow that wasn't sticky. Just a treat to slide on. The cat drivers have been very busy. As we move further into Spring and the water starts running, we start pushing snow around. We do that to keep snow deep in places we want to ski and to have areas where the water runs, free to facilitate runoff. The snow on Lower Sundance and Lower High Noon has been consolidated to the west side of the trail.

It is Spring and the skiing is everything you hope for. Of course, we might get a heck of a storm Friday night...........
