And It Keeps Snowing

While snow was expected today, I think Mother Nature exceeded all of our expectations. It snowed a lot. I am very anxious to see the morning report. Yes, Yes, Yes, more terrain will be opening up. Right now, I am not exactly sure what and when, but tomorrow things will be happening. If I was going to pick an early season powder day to go skiing, it would be tomorrow.

Why doesn't A-basin have a snowstake cam like Copper and other resorts?

According to cotrip.org, the road to the basin is closed. When they show that, is it really always true?

I was wondering the same thing. I tried to make a trip up on Monday, made it as far as Bakerville before I gave up and turned around, since Loveland Pass was closed. Are there any good resources that show when Loveland Pass is closed, and better yet, when it's expected to re-open again? It's just not worth it trying to wait it out and go through the tunnels.

Here's your resource. The traffic cams are useful too http://www.cotrip.org/home.htm

When it snows... 6th will be closed. Get over it... its an extra 20 mins through the tunnels... and the pass will be open for the way home. And with 6th closed, most of the knuckleheads will go somewhere else... abasin is the best.
