Snowmaking Plan

Our next trail to open will be Ramrod. All of the snowmaking guns on Ramrod are in place and will be operating whenever the temps are right. It typically takes about a week to get Ramrod open (assuming temps are reasonably cold). Beyond Ramrod we will get Lenawee Mountain Lift, Lenawee Face and Dercum's Gulch open. Once all that is complete, you will see the crew providing some green terrain, making snow on Molly Hogan, Sundance and Wrangler.

I know its wayyyy too early, but generally how much of the mountain must be open before allowing uphill access?

Sounds good. I've been looking at long term forecasts and the mountains have 10 ish more days with this above average weather, and then we'll cool down to the teens every night and after that, the forecast calls for significant snowfall. The only problem is that forecast is more that 20 days and shows inaccurate snow fall when it's that long. The big reason why meteorologists use these is for the temps that are accruing since temps are more accurate than storm patterns because of how the weather moves with the jet stream.

Can't wait!

Weather is looking a bit ominous this morning but going to drive up anyway and get in my first skiing for the season.
