It is official.  Opening Day will be Sunday, October 13, 2013.  All the new snow and great snowmaking conditions will make for some very fun skiing and riding.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Started packing! Be in Colorado tomorrow and ready to spend more time tumbling and rolling in the snow than actually staying up on my board!

Great! Opening on a weekend day; huge crowds cause every weekend warrior will be there, no parking, 45 minute lift line for a 45 second run. I think it would be wiser to wait until Monday or Tuesday after this next storm.

Great job Al and the Abasin team! One question, any chance you can delay the mug sales until Monday? With a weekend open the line will be out the door but more important, decades long mug club members are at risk of losing their mugs to weekend warriors. You know they will sell out no matter what day they go on sale, so avoid a weekend day. Thanks!See you all soon!

It's always interesting to see at least one person complain about opening....its October, lift lines are always long for a few weeks, just the way it is. If you don't want lift lines, don't show up. Otherwise, everyone else will just enjoy being up there with little care about how long they wait just because it is awesome and fun to ski/ride in October. Great job Al and the A Basin team on getting things going and things seem to be off to a nice start from mother nature too. Here is to a good season, especially since we just got out condo squared away for the year. Bring it on!!!!
