Kudos To Loveland

Good job Loveland for announcing a Thursday opening. About mid-day I drove over there and visited with a few friends. The place looked good. They had some snow pushed out and are gearing up for a nice opening.

Prior to that, I walked down High Noon. It looks pretty darn good. We have a few small whales and snow coverage all across the trail. Our forecast still looks great with, perhaps, sub-freezing temperatures into Thursday.  Keep your fingers crossed. We will have some good news on opening soon.

Will you open by Saturday?

Hurts to see Loveland beat you guys! But in all honesty, a weekend opening would be great, anything past that would be a real loss!! You are the real winners most of the year!
A-Basin: 0
Loveland: 1..... FOR NOW

That's great that LUV is opening, and what class to announce it in Al's Blog!

My own 24-hour marathon ski:
Full moon night laps on the pass, 10 to 1 at Loveland, 1:30 to 4 at A-Basin, maybe throw in a night ski at Keystone.

Lame! Stop catering to the front range crowd. You are just trying to hold out for the weekend.

Looks great, excited to enjoy the fruits of your labor when ever conditions are right, people on the ground have a much better idea when the snow level is sufficient than the internet trolls!

Any images yet of the new mugs for Friday's opening;)

You should open on Wednesday.

Loveland started making snow before A Basin, I'm not surprised they are opening earlier. Not sure why everyone thinks there's a conspiracy theory here.

That said, please open on a weekday, I'd like to at least have a chance to get a run in :-)

Please open Thursday or earlier so we can all get in some turns before the weekend.

Why would a basin wait till the weekend, when they could be making money before the weekend?
Look at the web cams.
There are still bushes visible on the run.
Temps were lower at loveland, and they made more snow.
Congrats to the Love

Al you simply cannot let loveland win.

Doesn't Loveland win this every year? Do you people not trust Al to get open asap? How many quality runs are you going to get in on the first week? Relax people, the season is near.

There are a few people on this planet whose judgement I trust with no question: Al, Patrick Roy, and maybe a couple of others. Thank you Al for all that you do. Very excited to get this thing going..
