Power and Snowmaking Update

A-Basin and Xcel are taking advantage of this lull in the weather to fix a couple of things. As a result we are going to be going another day or two with intermittent power, email, phones, e-store and more. I apologize for any inconveniences this might be causing you. I know it is hard to reach us this week, but a little bit of extra work now reduces the chances of outages once we are in ski season.

On another note, last night the wet bulb got down to 28.5 F about 4 AM. The snowmakers fired up some guns anticipating a further drop in the temperature. Well, it didn't happen. They shut down following a valiant, but very wet effort. Stay tuned, things are looking better towards the weekend.

On yet another note, Shane McConkey raises from the dead to overthrow Al

Al I have 2 questions
1. Say the snowmakers start going full tilt for 8 hrs a night how long till we can start skiing?

2. Have there been any attempts to change the weather (e.g. Sacrificing something to the snow gods)

Thanks for the updates! It's nice to see a COO that's reaches out to the people.

about 2 weeks of snowmaking unless they have natural snow and snowmaking at the same time, then its a little over a week if it stays cold

I am guessing the Xcel work also explains why the web cams have not updated in 3 days.
