I had another Grand Tour Sunday of skiing and hiking. After a few laps on the North Side (which was exceptional) we found ourselves hiking up through the North Pole gate. We backed down into 2nd Notch which is definitely an "Experts Only" "Extreme Terrain" kind of entry point. Access was difficult, but once in, the skiing was outstanding. Our next adventure was up the long and steep Willy's Wide staircase. On the way up we experienced sun, snow squalls, and winds. After enjoying a truly unique view of the ski area and surrounding mountains, we dropped through the Snorkel Door and had a great ski down Snorkel Nose.
