Check out this old photo of the base area. It shows the original single chairlift which opened for the 1947/48 ski season. I am not sure what the buildings in the photo were. Perhaps they are the original Shelter and Ticket Sales facilities. The hairpin on Highway 6 is clearly visible at the top left of the photo. I think the bottom terminal is situated about where our current rental shop is. You gotta' love the vision Larry Jump and the Founding Fathers had.
