I am very, very confident saying we will be open until at least June 2. There are many reasons to be so optimistic. The last 3 months of snow were extraordinary, February was good and March and April were great. The first 2 day May yielded 11" of snow. So far snow melt and runoff have been slight. Snowpack is 109%. The forecast for the week is snowy and cool. We may actually see some good snow. Good news.
That said, I am being asked multiple times each day, "Will we stay open beyond June 2?" The answer, "It is too early to make that decision." Let's see how the next 4 weeks treat us. Sooner or later, it will get warm. Whether we like it or not, the snow will eventually melt. But, if we still have plenty of snow and if people are still excited about skiing when June 2 rolls around, we would likely go longer. Time will tell.
