We have been having some stormy, spring weather. Attached are photos from Elise Hickman and our Zuma webcam. Saturday, we did close Pali trail and other steep terrain due to concerns about wet slides. While a few of you have shared your disappointment at this, I think most people have realized there comes a time when our concerns for wet slides prompt a closing of the steep terrain. It is hard to pick the exact minute to close this terrain and we don't pretend to be able to do that. When water is clearly moving through the snow and weakening the structure, we will close the steep stuff. Yesterday, a wet slide hit Highway 6 out of the Seven Sisters and multiple wet slides were observed down by the Rock Pile. I think our timing has been pretty good and, more importantly, a reasonable way to manage this tough time of year.
